Danny Amendola dealing with a groin injury, should still be fine to start in fantasy leagues

Danny Amendola's groin issue shouldn't set off alarms just yet. - Jared Wickerham

Danny Amendola is on the injury report for a groin issue. We break down the fantasy implications.

Danny Amendola practiced through a groin issue on Wednesday. He is expected to play against the Bills on Sunday.

He's not exactly indestructible and hopefully this groin injury is nothing. Amendola is going to resume Wes Welker's role in the slot and has a great shot to catch 100 balls from quarterback Tom Brady.  The 27-year-old receiver played in just 12 games in the past two seasons.

Fantasy impact: Despite the massive injury concerns, chances are that you can't take a receiver outside of round two that offers a higher upside than Amendola in PPR leagues. The Patriots are going to score a lot of points and they swapped out one Texas Tech product for another with Amendola stepping in. He's a must-start player against the Bills and should remain in all lineups as long as he's healthy.
