Knowshon Moreno expected to start for Broncos, should fantasy owners take the bait?

Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

Knowshon Moreno looks like he'll be starting vs. the Ravens. We break down the fantasy implications.

Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno could start at running back against the Ravens on Thursday night, according to FOX Sports.

The Broncos are expected to go for a full-blown committee approach and could go with a drive-by-drive way to handle their backs. Moreno was rumored to be cut last year and he's yet to endear himself to the Broncos since they took him 12th overall in the 2009 draft.

Fantasy impact: The Broncos have a potent offense, but it's going to be a total mess in the backfield. Ronnie Hillman is listed as the starting back on the depth chart, but his deficiencies in pass protection has hurt his chances to be a consistent contributor. What's more, Montee Ball hasn't done much either. Ball should get most of the goal-line work, but chances are that fantasy owners should steer clear of this mess until the waters become less murky. All three backs are worth owning in all leagues, though.
