Cordarrelle Patterson is limited in practice, remains a fantasy sleeper

Don't sleep on Cordarrelle Patterson. - Kevin Hoffman-USA TODAY Sports

Cordarrelle Patterson is limited in practice on Wednesday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Cordarrelle Patterson (back) was limited in practice on Wednesday. He's expected to play against the Lions on Sunday.

The Vikings took Cord in the first round of the 2013 draft and he's turned some heads in the preseason. Patterson is going to step in and try and replace Percy Harvin, which was a big role for the Vikings.

Fantasy impact: He's one of the more interesting players to take late in fantasy drafts. Cord is going to be the VIkings punt and kickoff specialist, and should be eased into the offense as the year goes on. He's more of a stash player in leagues that don't count for return yardage and those that took a chance with him will need to exercise some patience. If your league does count for return yards, he's someone to consider this week against the Lions since Detroit could be scoring points and having a lot of kickoffs.
