Ravens vs. Broncos: Fantasy football projections featuring Peyton Manning, Ray Rice, Torrey Smith

Bruce Kluckhohn-US PRESSWIRE

We break down the pertinent fantasy projections for the Week 1 matchup between the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions.

The 2013 NFL regular season is underway and we get our first look at the 2,000 yard man, Adrian Peterson. He will open the defense of his rushing crowd against a division rival in the Detroit Lions. Both teams are looking to take aim at the Packers, but for now they each have their share of question marks heading into the season.

To help you prepare your fantasy football lineup each week during the 2013 NFL season,, we've got game-by-game player projections courtesy of numberFire.

Minnesota Vikings

Adrian Peterson is obviously the big play, but the Vikings need to figure out things beyond just AD. They dealt away Percy Harvin in the offseason, but added veteran wide receiver Greg Jennings and rookie wide receiver Cordarelle Patterson to the fold. Is it enough for Christian Ponder to take a step forward? Or is this all about Adrian Peterson, and everything else is just along for the ride?

Detroit Lions

The Lions have struggled in the win column, even as the Stafford-Megatron connection continues to bloom. Detroit added running back Reggie Bush as they look to develop a more well-rounded offense. Rookie wide receiver Ryan Broyles is a guy to track this season. He is working his way back, but with time he could be a very solid option in this offense.
