Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 1: The fantastic four for Raiders vs. Colts

Andrew Luck - USA TODAY Sports

Alex Strouf picks four players to start in your fantasy football league when the Raiders travel to Indianapolis on Sunday to take on the Colts.

This Sunday marks the first game of the 2013 NFL season for 26 teams, including the Indianapolis Colts and the Oakland Raiders, who will be facing off in Indianapolis. I will pick four players to start in your fantasy football league this week from this AFC match-up.

SET IN STONE: Andrew Luck, Quarterback, Indianapolis Colts

This is an obvious pick if you're playing in a twelve-man standard league. Andrew Luck is trying to prove he's an elite quarterback after taking his team to the playoffs in his rookie season. In his first look of action in the regular season, Luck faces a Raiders defense that allowed an average of over 235 passing yards a game last season, and still has plenty of question marks. Luck is a guy you need to start. as he has three great targets in T.Y. Hilton, veteran Reggie Wayne, and former Raider Darrius Heyward-Bey. Those three targets are going to be extremely helpful for the Colts potentially productive passing offense.

SET IN STONE: Darren McFadden, Running Back, Oakland Raiders

When it comes to Week 1, you start them as you draft them, right? That's the case with McFadden, although how injury prone he is will scare most fantasy owners. He fell very far in all drafts of which I have been apart of, which surprised me. You most likely drafted him in one of your two running back slots, or if you're in a smaller league, possibly your flex spot, but McFadden is a powerful back that is a go for Week 1.

Second year quarterback Terrelle Pryor is getting the start this game, and I'm not completely sure how confident the Raiders will be passing the ball. Expect the Raiders to pound the ball a lot against the Colts defense.

SET IN STONE: Reggie Wayne, Wide Receiver, Indianapolis Colts

Let's be honest, Reggie Wayne is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL, at least up there. If you have him on your team, he's probably a number one or a number two wide receiver on your team. That means you start him. Expect at least a touchdown and five receptions for Wayne today. Make him a starter, don't be a fool.

TAKE A RISK: T.Y. Hilton, Wide Receiver, Indianapolis Colts

The Colts passing game should be working today, so why not take a risk on young receiver T.Y. Hilton? Hilton's chemistry with quarterback Andrew Luck seemed to increase throughout the course of last season, and this preseason as well. This season will be interesting for the pair, and it all starts with this game. I say you start T.Y. Hilton, because he will impress you.
