Colin Kaepernick has a career fantasy day in win over Packers

Colin Kaepernick celebrates against the Green Bay Packers - Harry How

Colin Kaepernick gave fantasy owners a day to remember with a career day against Green Bay. We give you the fantasy implications here.

Colin Kaepernick posted a career day today completing 27-of-39 passes for 412 yards and three touchdowns in the 49ers 34-28 win over the Green Bay Packers. He added seven rushes for 22 yards in what was simply an outstanding performance for fantasy owners.

Fantasy impact: Kaepernick is on pace to throw for 6,704 yards and 48 touchdowns on the year. He won't always see the Packers defense or put up these kinds of numbers, but he still should be a QB1 play in any fantasy league. The 49ers travel to Seattle to play the Seahawks in Week 2. The Seahawks defense held Cam Newton in check today, but Kaepernick was 19-of-36 for for 244 yards, one touchdown and one interception in his 2012 appearance against a stingy Seahawks defense. He should put up better numbers this year as the Niners offense appears to be clicking on all cylinders.
