Aaron Rodgers wins for fantasy owners in loss to the 49ers

Jonathan Daniel

A-Rodge and his Packers lost, but his fantasy owners won today as he threw 3 touchdowns in a loss to the San Francisco 49ers. We bring you the fantasy implications here.

Aaron Rodgers and his Packers may have lost yesterday, but his fantasy owners won as Rodgers had an outstanding performance against the San Francisco 49ers. Rodgers looked good and was a sharp 21-of-37 for 333 yards and three touchdowns. The Packers offense looks to be more balanced year and while the Packers lost the game, Rodgers' fantasy owners should certainly be happy with his performance.

Fantasy impact: Rodgers is an elite quarterback who is clearly a lock QB1 in all fantasy leagues. He is a must start for all fantasy owners. The Packers host the Washington Redskins in Week 2 and they will be coming off a short week having played on Monday Night Football in Week 1. The Packers offense should continue to play well and Rodgers should put up similar or better numbers against the Redskins defense.
