Miami Dolphins running back Lamar Miller received 36 snaps at running back while Daniel Thomas saw 32 in the Dolphins win over the Browns. Miller was a disaster with 10 carries going for three yards while adding one reception for seven yards. Thomas racked up 14 yards and a touchdown on eight carries.
Somehow, the Dolphin still managed to pull out a 23-10 win with just 20 yards on the ground along with Ryan Tannehill's 272 passing yards and touchdown pass to Brian Hartline.
Fantasy impact: Miller looked much better in the preseason and Thomas has done nothing to suggest he's capable of being "the guy." He has just 3.5 yards per carry in his career, which is far below Miller's 4.9 from last season.
The Dolphins do have some offensive line issues with the loss of Jake Long, but they're not going to be this bad. The Browns have a stout front seven with linebacker D'Qwell Jackson healthy. Miller owners have to stand pat and not sell low because he should fare much better against the Colts. Regardless, he should remain on most benches until he proves it.
