Cincinnati Bengals running back Jeremy Hill has done well enough in the preseason to be the "thunder" to Giovani Bernard's "lightning" in the Bengals' backfield to start the 2014 season, according to the team's website. Consequently, the team has also decided to part ways with BenJarvus Green-Ellis.
Fantasy Impact: Although Bernard started last season with something to prove in his first year in the league, it was clear pretty early in the season that he was much more dynamic than Green-Ellis. Now that Hill has arrived on the scene and put together a great preseason, The Law Firm is expendable.
The Bengals will retain fellow running backs Cedric Peerman and Rex Burkhead on the team's roster, but both are expected to contribute mostly in special teams capacities or when one of the top two running backs needs a break or suffers an injury.
Fantasy owners can consider picking up Hill in the late rounds of the draft as a flex option with high upside.
