Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Vincent Jackson is expected to miss Week 8 according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Jackson was forced to exit Week 7's loss to Washington due to a knee injury, and it appears he could be dealing with a multi-week ailment.
Having already lost Louis Murphy to an ACL tear, the Buccaneers find themselves thin at options for Jameis Winston. Mike Evans and Donteea Dye are the only two healthy receivers left on the Buccaneers roster, and Austin Sefarian-Jenkins has missed all but two games due to a shoulder injury.
Fantasy impact: While Evans can be considered a target monster in Jackson's absence, the Buccaneers' offense could be heavily dependent on the running game with Doug Martin and Charles Sims playing effectively. Sims has flex value in PPR leagues with the team so devoid of healthy pass catchers.
If Seferian-Jenkins returns, he can immediately be placed in the TE1 conversation. As for Jackson, it's been a disappointing season for him and his fantasy owners, but there isn't reason to drop a receiver that still presents upside. He'll present WR3 value upon his return.
