Dallas Cowboys running back Darren McFadden was added to the team's injury report on Thursday because of a groin injury, according to beat writer Brandon George. McFadden still participated in practice, albeit in a limited fashion.
Fantasy impact: The fantasy world is buzzing about the Cowboys this week. Even though the team may as well set its sights on the 2016 season, the fantasy community awaits the return of quarterback Tony Romo. That's what makes the McFadden news concerning for owners.
On the plus side, with teammate Lance Dunbar out for the year thanks to a torn ligament in his knee, and now ex-teammate Joseph Randle waived by the club, McFadden owns the Cowboys backfield. Combine his current workhorse status with the fact a Pro Bowl quarterback is making his return and all is looking peachy keen for McFadden.
The only potential setback of course is this newly found groin injury. Any injury to the legs can hinder performance, but depending on how bad the groin strain is, McFadden should be okay. At least he was able to practice on Thursday. Stay updated on his status closer to game time.
