WGC HSBC Champions 2011: Keegan Bradley Takes First Round Lead

PGA Tour rookie and PGA Championship winner Keegan Bradley has a two-shot lead after the first round of the World Golf Championships' HSBC Champions tournament at Sheshan International Golf Club in Shanghai, China.

The 25-year-old Bradley, who ranks 13th on the money list, opened his round with a birdie on the 10th hole and got to four-under par with an eagle on No. 18, a 538-yard par five. The Woodstock, Vermont native birdied three holes on the front nine to shoot a seven-under par 65 on the day. Bradley is two shots ahead of fellow American Bo Van Pelt as well as a pair of Swedes, Fredrik Jacobson and Alexander Noren.

Thongchai Jaidee, K.J. Choi, Justin Rose and David Toms are at four-under par after round one. Choi is one of PGATour.com's Rob Bolton's favorites to win this year's tournament. Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy, another one of Bolton's favorites to win, shot a two-under 70 in his opening round.

Last year's winner, Italy's Franceso Molinari, is also at two-under par.
