Hunter Mahan and Aaron Baddley have taken over first place of the Tour Championship, shooting 64 and 66, respectively, in the third round Saturday. Mahan's short game was clutch, as he birdied a 23-foot putt on his final hole to claim his share of first place.

Jason Day and K.J. Choi are tied for third place just two strokes back. Bill Haas was in first earlier in the day, but he bogeyed on 17 and finished the day tied with Luke Donald for fifth place, three strokes back.

Phil Mickelson and Fredrik Jacobson are tied for seventh place, four strokes back. Adam Scott, who entered the day with a one-stroke lead, shot a dismal 74, sliding all the way into a tie with Charles Howell III for ninth place, five strokes back. Scott's score tied for day's highest. See the full leaderboard.

By taking a share of first place, Mahan moved up 20 spots to the top of the projected FedEx Cup standings, which takes into account the entire FedEx Cup playoffs in addition to the Tour Championship. If he holds on to win the tournament, he'll also win the FedEx Cup -- and the $10 million prize that comes with it.

Webb Simpson, who shot 70 for the second day in a row Saturday, is tied for 15th in the tournament  but second in the projected FedEx Cup standings. Baddley currently sits in third place of the projected standings.
