The McGladrey Classic 2012 leaderboard: Jim Furyk moves into first place on Saturday

Sam Greenwood

Midway through Round 3 of the McGladrey Classic, Jim Furyk sits atop the leaderboard.

Jim Furyk began the third round three strokes back of tournament leader Arjun Atwal. After shooting 3-under par through seven holes and with Atwal even for the round, Furyk has taken a three-stroke lead at the 2012 McGladrey Classic. His overall tournament score is now 12-under.

Furyk, who is coming off a somewhat disappointing performance at the Ryder Cup, birded holes two, three and six on Saturday afternoon. Atwal bogeyed hole No. 4, but that was quickly erased with a birdie on five. He is tied with Bud Cauley and Davis Love III for second place on the leaderboard.

Peter Tomasulo, Martin Flores and Chad Campbell are currently tied for fifth place at 9-under par. Tomasulo and Flores are both at 3-under through 11 holes on Saturday, while Campbell is one back. Vijay Singh is one of six golfers currently tied for eighth place at 8-under. Singh is currently 2-under par for the round with two birdies on the front-nine.
