2012 CIMB Classic scores: Troy Matteson leads after 1st round

Troy Matteson leads, but Tiger Woods isn't far behind.

Troy Matteson leads the 2012 CIMB Classic at 8-under after shooting a 63 in the first round. Three players are tied for second at 7-under par and 11 golfers are within three strokes of the lead, including Tiger Woods.

Ricky Barnes is also in the group three strokes behind the leader. Other notables in the field include Jason Dufner -- who is three strokes under par - and Carl Pettersson, who is two strokes under par. Defending tournament champion Bo Van Pelt finished the first round at 1-under.

The tournament continues Friday. The CIMB Classic has a total purse of $6.1 million, and the winner will take home $1.3 million.
