Charlie Beljan spent Friday night in the hospital, but came out on Saturday and maintained his lead in the Children's Miracle Network Classic. He shot 1-under 71 on the day, good for 13-under overall and sole possession of first place. It wasn't the best of the day, but he had such a big lead after Friday that he could afford a little slip-up.
Brian Gay, Josh Teater and Charlie Wi are all tied for second place at 11-under. Wi shot 2-under on the day, while Gay and Teater both shot 5-under to move up into the lead. They both moved up 19 spots to get where they're at now.
Vaughn Taylor is officially rounding out the top five, but his 10-under mark is sharked with six others, including Robert Garrigus, Camilo Villegas, Matt Every, Tommy Gainey and Daniel Chopra, to round out the top 10.
Beljan complained of chest pains, shortness of breath and numbness in his arms during Friday's second round. His doctor recommended that he not play on Saturday, but there's been no news of any setbacks in his health and only minimal setbacks in his game in Round 3.
