If you're like me, you enjoy a few dozen hefty plates of gluttony during the Thanksgiving holiday all while keeping tabs on hot golf action overseas. Wait, you actually spent time with your family this week and didn't watch golf at all?!
Don't worry. I got you.
- Rory McIlroy wins in Dubai, gets heckled by girlfriend. Aren't girls the worst? Here you are, a young golfing superstar from Northern Ireland who has won more than anyone else in your profession this year, and all your girlfriend can do is make fun of your naturally curly hair over Twitter? Rory McIlroy's win in Dubai -- his fifth tour win of the year -- is icing on the cake for a player who has already locked up both money list titles, Player of the Year honors and the Vardon Trophy. Now he's got an image complex because of his mean tennis-playing girlfriend. Some guys can't catch a break.
- Luke Donald loses to Rory, set to have sinus surgery. After finishing second behind 'The Curly One' in Dubai, Donald ends his 2012 season ranked No. 2 in the world and a few million dollars richer. What's next on the Englishman's plate? Sinus surgery!
"My sinuses are all completely clogged up and every time I get a little bit run down they turn into infections," Donald said. "Hopefully the surgery will fix it. It's a pretty quick and easy operation." Wouldn't it be awesome if he suddenly had a super-deep voice following surgery? Wouldn't it? WOULDN'T IT?!
- Tiger's hit-and-giggle is this week. The World Challenge is this week in Thousand Oaks, and once again the Tiger-hosted event will feature 18 of the world's best in what is quickly becoming the laughing stock of professional golf. Sure; names like Woods, Graeme McDowell, Bubba Watson, Webb Simpson and others are competing to make things interesting. There's even a bunch of World Golf Ranking points up for grabs (which is ridiculous). But let's see a show of hands on who actually cares how this tournament turns out. Anyone?
