Meen Whee Kim did just enough to maintain his slight lead on top of the leaderboard through Friday at the 2012 PGA Tour qualifying tournament.
Whee Kim hit 5-under 72 in the third round to maintain his one-stroke lead over Robert Karlsson. Whee Kim sits 18-under overall going into Saturday. Karlsson moved up three spots into second place on Friday after shooting a 7-under 72 on the day, tied for best a few other golfers on the day.
Edward Loar and Billy Horschel sit two back at 16-under overall, both hitting 6-under 72 on Friday. The top 25 players of the tournament get their PGA Tour cards for the upcoming season and there is plenty of competition left. 25 golfers sit within two strokes of making the cut if the tournament were to end today. The PGA Tour Q-School has three more days left in the tournament so there is plenty of action to be had over the next 54 holes.
