Luke Donald, an Englishman by birth living in Barack Obama’s Chicago, attempted to lighten the dour election-night mood of fellow PGA Tour golfers, many of whom were clearly not happy with the results from Tuesday’s presidential race.
While a majority of the comments from tour golfers on Twitter (via “tweeting athletes”) forecast doom and gloom for the country because of Obama’s victory over Mitt Romney, Donald had on his mind an issue of far more pressing importance to at least one of his colleagues.
Wow this is getting close, I just don't know which way the decision will go..... Will they, or will they not ban the long putter!!

Not surprisingly, the first golfer to win a major championship with a belly putter in his bag was pleased with Donald’s Twitter blast, as @Keegan_Bradley retweeted the playful comment from the former No. 1.
