Johnny Manziel turned 20 on Thursday and the Texas A&M Heisman Trophy candidate celebrated by hitting the links with a few close pals.
Manziel was in Orlando, Fla., for Thursday night’s College Football Awards, where he’ll contend for both the Maxwell Award and the Davey O’Brien Award. In a tuneup for his primetime appearance on ESPN, Johnny Football teed it up with his teammate, offensive lineman Luke Joeckel, as well as College GameDay’s Chris Fowler and ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit, according to the Dallas Morning News.
While scores for the foursome were not forthcoming, Fowler treated Manziel fans with a Twitpic photo of the redshirt freshman QB, sans shoulder pads or helmet.

Johnny Golf? Manziel smooth swing on the range. Does it translate to the course? twitpic.com/bjl1vw— Chris Fowler (@cbfowler) December 6, 2012
