Martin Laird defends his title against Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and the rest of a very strong field at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

The Arnold Palmer Invitational, colloquially and more commonly referred to as simply "Bay Hill," gets underway on Thursday at the Bay Hill Club and Lodge in Florida. The tournament has been named after Palmer since 2007. Bay Hill is a restricted event, with only the top-70 players on the PGA money list guaranteed entry.

Tiger Woods is in the field and will be looking to expand on his record six victories in the tournament. He once won it four years in a row and most recently captured the title in 2009. The defending champion is Martin Laird, and he has returned to defend his title. The Arnold Palmer Invitational is a big event and will feature the likes of Woods, Phil Mickelson and Bubba Watson, as well as top-10 golfers Justin Rose and Webb Simpson, but all of the top six is sitting this one out.

Coverage of the tournament's first two rounds will be shown on Golf Channel on Thursday and Friday, starting at 3:00 p.m. ET. NBC has coverage of both the third and fourth rounds, starting at 2:30 p.m. ET on Saturday and Sunday.
