You might think golf is a dull, boring sport where most of the time is devoted to golfers lining up and standing over putts. You'd be wrong for plenty of reasons, including the one shown in the video below. Remember the alligator fight scene in "Happy Gilmore?" Turns out that wasn't exactly too much of a fib at all.
Brian Gay's caddie got into a small fight with an alligator. As Gay set up to hit a shot near a pond, an alligator came for a visit. Gay's caddie Kip Henley, loyal as always, got out one of those small plastic rakes used to clean up a bunker and got to work. And really, why in the world did he think that rake would protect him?
That rake doesn't offer much protection, and seems like it'd be more of a snack for the alligator. Nobody lost a limb, luckily, but Gay was more than a little rattled. He sent his next shot over the green and scurried away from the scene of the crime before going on to bogey the hole.
