The opening round of the 2012 Masters on Thursday is featuring no shortage of action.
Paul Lawrie was making significant progress and tied for the lead 3-under after picking up a pair of eagles. Lawrie hit eagles on holes 13 and 15 to make up for earlier bogeys. With the eagles, Lawrie, as per Masters tradition, picked up two pairs of crystal goblets for his two eagles. After getting to 4-under, Lawrie unfortunately bogeyed on the final hole of his round, bringing his opening day score to a final of 3-under.
Through 10 holes, Henrik Stenson is the leader at 6-under and shows no signs of slowing down, although there is plenty of golf left to play. Ross Fisher and Scott Verplank are both at 2-under. Tiger Woods is at 1-under through eight holes.
