The second round of the 2012 Masters on Friday featured every bit as much thrilling action and surprising developments as Thursday's opener. The pursuit of the green jacket remains just as fierce as expected and the competition will only intensify as the golfers enter the weekend.
The leader heading into Friday was Lee Westwood at 5-under. Westwood mostly stayed even throughout the day, but a double-bogey on the 18th hole saw him lose a stroke and fall behind the new leaders, Fred Couples and Jason Dufner. Also at 4-under with Westwood are Sergio Garcia, Louis Oosthuizen, Bubba Watson and one of the betting favorites heading into the tournament, Rory McIlroy.
The other two betting favorites in the tournament are not faring quite as well. Phil Mickelson rebounded nicely from his opening round with a 4-under to bring his total to 2-under, while Tiger Woods bogeyed five times and finished 3-over after two rounds.
