Phil Mickelson is making a charge on the second nine at Augusta National, taking advantage of opportunities at Amen Corner. He birdied the intimidating par-3 12th hole and then converted a beautiful eagle on the par-5 13th hole to move to 6-under with Louis Oosthuizen and Matt Kuchar. Mickelson is 4-under through the first four holes on the second nine, with another likely birdie opportunity ahead of him at No. 15. Video of Phil's eagle putt at No. 13:
Former British Open Champion Oosthuizen reeled off three straight birdies and went out in 34 to tie Kuchar at 6-under atop the leaderboard. Oosthuizen's not a bomber, but his steady tee-to-green play has him right there heading to his final nine holes of the third round.
Rory McIlroy fell off the face of the earth on his first nine, going out in 42. McIlroy is now 2-over and 8 shots off the lead. Irishman Padraig Harrington birdied five of the final six holes and moved within two shots of the lead with a blistering 68 in his third round. Paddy has struggled to find his game since re-making his swing, but he certainly found some magic coming down the stretch on Saturday.
