With the second round of the The Players Championship underway, Jonathan Byrd and Charlie Wi are quickly moving up the leaderboard while first-round co-leader Marin Laird maintains his position at the top (7-under).
Byrd opened his second round with two pars followed by two consecutive birdies to move to 2-under on the day and 6-under for the tournament. He is currently tied for 3rd as of the time of this writing.
Likewise, Charlie Wi started his Friday round off on a hotstreak by recording birdies on his second, fourth, and sixth holes to move to 3-under on the day and 4-under overall. Currently tied for 8th position, Wi will be headed to his back-nine with a head full of steam and confidence.
First-round co-leader Ian Poulter has yet to tee off in his second round (1:39pm EST) along with American golfer Blake Evans (6-under, 2nd position), who starts his round at 12:25pm EST.
