Bubba Watson may have had enough of diaper duty. The 2012 Masters champ plans to return to golf for next week's Memorial Tournament but he also wants a stint on "America's Got Talent."

Some golf fans may recall that Bubba Watson -- long before he was “Masters Champ Bubba Watson” -- launched a successful Twitter campaign to cadge an invite to The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The comedian’s humor and philanthropy attracted the charity-driven Watson to the program, where he helped raise money for Haiti and made sure everyone had a good ol’ time (check him out at about the three minute mark of this video of the 2010 broadcast).

Now, as he prepares to return to the PGA Tour after almost two months away from the course to spend time with his family, Watson would like to show the nation that his skills extend beyond smashing a little white ball more than 300 yards (315.1 yards is his tour-leading distance off the tee, to be precise). While he tweeted Monday that he was ready to resume his golf career and had begun tuning up for his re-entry, Watson also put in some plugs to get himself on another TV show.

“Cant wait to get back to golf next week @MemorialGolf,” @bubbawatson tweeted about his plans to join Tiger Woods, Rickie Fowler, Rory McIlroy, Phil Mickelson, and the rest of the star-studded field at Jack Nicklaus’ Memorial Tournament next week. Earlier he proclaimed that he had returned to the practice range. “Got 14 days to get good before tourney starts,” he typed on May 17.

In between his golf-related social media notes, Watson hollered at America’s Got Talent host Nick Cannon to pick him as his “sidekick” for the reality show.

“I want to work with Nick Cannon on the 'America's Got Talent" show,'" Watson tweeted on May 20. “I could wear my overalls & sweep off the bad talents!!”

Watson even got fellow Golf Boys band-mate Rickie Fowler and Columbus Short, a star of this TV season’s guilty pleasure, Scandal, into the act.

“I’ve been known to cut a rug or two,” @ColumbusShort1 tweeted to Watson and @RickieFowlerPGA. “Let's go win the title...and show em how its done! Ill call Cannon!”

Short did place the call -- 21st-century-wise -- by tweeting his proposal to @NickCannon: “so me @bubbawatson and @rickiefowlerpga trying to come on the show. We have an ACT! Haha! Hope you well!”

No word yet on whether Cannon will pick up on Bubba’s overture, but check your local listings.
