Although a few final round mistakes cost Jason Dufner the Crowne Plaza Invitational, his second place finished helped him extend his lead in the FedEx Cup Standings. Zach Johnson, who won the Crown Plaza Invitational, vaulted up 15 spots to third place.
Dufner entered the Crowne Plaza Invitational with a 40 point lead over Hunter Mahan. Sunday's second place finish was good for 300 FedEx Cup points, giving Dufner 1,735 on the season. Mahan remains in second place with 1,427 points while Johnson is now third with 1,386 points.
Bubba Watson and Phil Mickelson both fell one spot in the standings after not playing in the Crowne Plaza Invitational. Watson is No. 4 in the standings while Mickelson rounds out the top five at No. 5. Tommy Gainey made the biggest jump this week, moving up 70 spots to No. 98.
