Rory McIlroy hasn't exactly been playing like everyone expects the defending US Open champion to play, especially this close to the year's second major. Coming into this week's Memorial tournament - and following two consecutive missed-cuts - Rory knew he needed to start playing well if he is to have any chance at defending his Open crown in two weeks.
His play on the 12th hole this morning at Muirfield probably isn't going to help matters. At all.
McIlroy currently sits at +3 for the tournament as he continues his back-nine (since he started his round on hole 10). Hopefully things don't get much uglier for the chap.
