After firing an opening-round 65 on Thursday, Jacobson followed with a four-under 66 on Friday morning to hold a one-shot lead over the field at nine-under. As of the time of this writing, Jacobson's nearest competition comes in the form of Nathan Green, who is currently at eight-under par.

U.S. Open champ Webb Simpson recorded a one-under 69 to close Friday four shots off the tournament lead at five-under par. Elsewhere, Masters champion Bubba Watson followed his opening round 67 with a mediocre 71 in his second round. Both players are slated to play the weekend, as the current cut line is projected at even-par.
