Jim Furyk is rather easy to find on the WGC Bridgestone Invitational leaderboard. That's his name right up there at the top, two shots ahead of the field after two strong days. Tiger Woods, however, is missing in action.
If one were to scan all the way down the leaderboard, they might miss Woods. At 2-over for the tournament, Woods is in a tie for 44th, 13 shots back of Furyk. While anything is possible, we can probably go ahead and write him off for the week after rounds of 70 and 72 to open the tournament.
Furyk, on the other hand, followed up a first-round 63 with a 66 on Friday. That puts him at 11-under, two shots better than Rafael Cabrera Bello. Louis Oosthuizen is at 8-under for the tournament and alone in third, while Jason Dufner is four shots back, at 7-under for the tournament.
