Deutsche Bank Championship 2012: Seung-Yul Noh Leads After First Round, Tiger Woods Close Behind

Seung-Yul Noh birdied his last two holes for a 9-under 62, giving him a record pace and a one-stroke lead after the first round of the Deutsche Bank Championship.

The 21-year-old South Korean has nine birdies and nine pars on Day 1, but there are still four golfers within two strokes of the lead as the tournament heads into Saturday.

One of those narrowly trailing golfers is Tiger Woods, who had six consecutive birdies for his best opening round in three years. Woods shot a 64 and trails by two strokes after putting on a short-game clinic. Chris Kirk is in second after making a 12-footer on the final hole to hold onto his 63.

Last week's Barclays winner, Nick Watney, shot a disappointing 71 and is tied for 74th after the first round. For a complete leaderboard listing of the Deutsche Bank Championship, click here.
