Tour Championship 2012: Jim Furyk Finishes Day On Top While Tiger Woods Free Falls

With his 6-under Friday round officially completed for the 2012 Tour Championship, Jim Furyk is still holding on to a one-stroke lead with an two-day score of -7.

Furyk got off to a blazing hot start with seven birdies in his first 10 holes. Instead of building on that momentum though, Furyk faltered with three bogeys against just two birdies on the final eight.

Justin Rose, who was tied for the lead after his four-under 66 Thursday, is back in second place after he started with two bogeys on the front nine. Rose has birdied a par three, four and five on the back nine and has a chance to make up that one-stroke deficit with two holes remaining.

Bubba Watson has completed his round, but not before jumping back into contention with five birdies on the back nine. Watson is currently sitting in a tie with fellow American Bo Van Pelt for third at 5-under.

Tiger Woods entered play Friday sharing the tournament lead with Rose, but has had a rough round Friday. With a bogey setting the tone on his first hole, Woods went on to double-bogey the eighth before racking up three more bogeys on the back nine. Woods still has two more holes to play, but it's going to take quite the turnaround to make up for his +2 round.
