World Golf Rankings 2012: Justin Rose Reaches Top 5 For First Time

Justin Rose gained five spots in the World Golf Ranking after the last event of the PGA Tour season, entering the top five of the rankings for the first time in his career.

Rose finished second in the Tour Championship, putting the 32-year-old higher than he has ever been on the rankings. Rose's appearance in the top five dropped the Australian Adam Scott into sixth place, meaning all five of the world's top-ranked golfers will appear in next week's Ryder Cup. The rest of the top five remained unchanged.

Brandt Snedeker, who won the Tour Championship, also finds himself at a new personal best in the rankings, climbing into the top 10 for the first time in his career. The 31-year-old Vanderbilt University graduate was ranked at No. 38 to start 2012, but found himself at No. 18 entering this past weekend's event, which he won along with the 2012 FedEx Cup.
