The United States won five of the eight matches on the opening day of the 2012 Ryder Cup and they will attempt to have another strong day on Saturday.
The United States got off to a strong start in the 2012 Ryder Cup on Friday and they will attempt to continue that strong play when Day 2 begins on Saturday. Like Friday, the teams will play four Foursome matches in the morning and then four Fourball matches in the afternoon. The Americans enter the second day of play with a 5-3 lead.
Unlike Friday, Tiger Woods will not be playing in the morning Foursome matches. The team of Woods and Steve Stricker will instead be replaced by Bubba Watson and Webb Simpson. Woods and Stricker played well at times on Friday, but lost both of their matches.
There were also some slight changes on the European side as the star of Friday's play, Nicolas Colsaerts was inserted into Foursome play after just playing Fourball on Friday. Colsaerts will play with Sergio Garcia while Luke Donald, who was paired with Garcia on Friday, will play with Lee Westwood.
Saturday's action begins at 8:20 a.m. ET, 7:20 a.m. local time, with television coverage running from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on NBC. Complete tee times for the morning Fourball session can be found below (all times ET).
