PGA Tour Money List 2014: Webb Simpson tops list after tournament victory

Webb Simpson won the Shriner Hospitals for Children Open and now sits atop the list of top earners for the 2013-14 PGA Tour.

The 2013-14 PGA Tour is underway and through two tournaments, Webb Simpson is the top earner, despite sitting out the Frys.com Open. With a victory in the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in Las Vegas, Simpson earned $1,080,000 to take the top spot in the 2014 PGA Tour Money List.

With just two tournaments played so far, none of the golfers that finished in the top eight of the 2013 Money List have made a tournament appearance yet, including Tiger Woods, who is expected to make his season debut at The Turkish Airlines Open in November. Woods finished as the top earner in 2013 with $8,553,439 in 16 tournaments.

Just behind Simpson on the list is Jimmy Walker, the winner of the Frys.com Open to begin the season. He followed the tournament victory with a 14-under-par performance and 12th place finish in Las Vegas.

Here is the top 10 in earnings through two tournaments played:
