Matt Kuchar is off to a hot start in Pacific Palisades, Calif. Here's the rundown of all the action from Round 1 of the 2013 Northern Trust Open.

With the first day of the 2013 Northern Trust Open complete, Matt Kuchar holds a one-stroke lead over the rest of the field heading into the second round at the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif. After shooting a 64 on Thursday morning, Kuchar sits at 7-under par.

Kuchar started the day off with three straight birdies and finished without a single bogey in his flawless Round 1 display. He will hope his solid start bodes well for the rest of the tournament, as he recorded just one top-15 finish in his last seven appearances at Riviera.

Sergio Garcia isn't far behind after shooting a 6-under 65 in his opening round. He birdied his final hole to close the gap to a single stroke.

Brandt Jobe finished tied for third with a 5-under 66. The former UCLA Bruin knows the course well after playing it often throughout his college tenure.

Here's a rundown of the current leaderboard:

1) Matt Kuchar, -7

2) Sergio Garcia, -6

T3) Brandt Jobe, -5

T3) Charlie Beljan, -5

T5) David Lynn, -4

T5) James Hahn, -4

T7) 11 players at -3
