Golf has been pushed to 3 p.m. ET as the 15th hole holds up action in Arizona.
The course conditions at Dove Mountain continue to delay the first round of the 2013 WGC-Accenture Match Play on Thursday. The restart was originally set from 10:30 a.m. ET, but the PGA Tour has continually pushed that back throughout the day and they're now calling for a 3 p.m. ET (1 p.m. local time) start.
The biggest hurdle in the way of a resumption of play is the condition of the 15th hole, according to Steve Sands of Golf Channel. Apparently No. 15 at Dove Mountain is still unplayable from the multiple snowstorms that hit the Tuscon area on Wednesday. Sands said the hole is at the highest elevation on the course and shielded a bit from exposure to the sun. It's also currently the site of the Matt Kuchar vs. Hiroyuki Fujita match, which Kuchar is on the verge of closing out on the green and becoming the first (or second) player through to the second round.
If the PGA Tour and grounds crew and sort out the situation and stay on track for a 3 p.m. ET restart, the remaining nine matches will go off at the following times:
All times ET:
3:10 p.m. -- Peter Hanson vs. Thomas Bjorn
3:20 p.m. -- Louis Oosthuizen vs. Richie Ramsay
3:30 p.m. -- Branden Grace vs. Robert Garrigus
3:40 p.m. -- Luke Donald vs. Marcel Siem
3:50 p.m. -- Paul Lawrie vs. Scott Piercey
4:00 p.m. -- Rory McIlroy vs. Shane Lowry
4:10 p.m. -- Rickie Fowler vs. Carl Pettersson
4:20 p.m. -- Tiger Woods vs. Charles Howell III
4:30 p.m. -- G. Fernandez-Castano vs. Francesco Molinari
With darkness hitting the area around 6:15 p.m. local time (8:15 ET), we're getting close to those nine remaining matches being unable to finish on Thursday, which would extend first round play into Friday -- originally scheduled for Sweet 16 matches.
