The 2013 Pebble Beach Pro-Am begins Thursday morning with 156 professionals and 156 amateurs teeing it up at three venues on the Monterey Peninsula. This historic event, formerly known as the Crosby Clambake, draws some of the best American players on the PGA Tour, including Phil Mickelson.
Mickelson is a five-time winner at this event and has a shot to win it in consecutive years, as well as winning in consecutive weeks after his performance in Scottsdale. He'll play with Skip McGee, an executive with Barclays, one of Mickelson's sponsors. He's set to tee off just before 1 p.m. ET on the Shore Course at Monterey Peninsula Country Club.
Golf Channel will provide their typical coverage this week, starting on Thursday with the first round broadcast running from 3 to 6 p.m. ET. If you're unable to get in front of a TV during the first two rounds, however, Golf Channel and NBC Sports will provide a livestream of the tournament on their website. The livestream will come on the air a half-hour before television coverage, beginning at 2:30 p.m. ET on Thursday and run until the broadcast goes off the air at 6 p.m. ET.
