Tiger Woods built Nike Golf into the powerhouse that it is, so each time the former No. 1 wins a PGA Tour contest the Beaverton conglomerate shows its respects by hoisting the pennant from said event.
Whenever Tiger wins, we fly the respective tourney flag in front of his eponymous bldg at Nike instagr.am/p/WukOITAhCh/— Heidi Burgett (@heidiburgett) March 11, 2013
Woods, of course, tucked away his 76th tour victory on Sunday with a two-shot triumph over Steve Stricker at the WGC-Cadillac Championship.
And, in case you were wondering whether the swoosh swings in the breeze for all Nike shills who emerge victorious -- like will the suits raise a green jacket when Rory McIlroy wins the Masters (or whatever contests Tiger's new stablemate compiles while playing his new sticks) -- the answer is, well you can probably guess.
@mahoney Nope, Tiger's building = Tiger's flags.— Heidi Burgett (@heidiburgett) March 11, 2013
