With the early groups either finishing their first rounds or already in the clubhouse, the afternoon pairings are taking center stage at Augusta National.
Marc Leishman is the leader in the clubhouse at 6-under, but his lead may not be safe just yet as a few players in afternoon groups are playing well. Sergio Garcia birdied four holes on the front nine and is currently in second place at 5-under. While a lot of players have most of their success on par-5s, Garcia played the two front nine par-5s even par. He birdied three par-4s and a par-3 on the front side.
Garcia isn't the only player playing well in the afternoon groups. Dustin Johnson is 3-under through nine holes while Adam Scott and Fred Couples were at 2-under at the turn. Rory McIlroy was 2-under through six holes, but a bogey at No. 7 dropped him to 1-under.
Not everyone is off to a good start as two of the pre-tournament favorites are having some issues on the front nine. Phil Mickelson bogeyed three of his first seven holes and is 2-over through eight. Keegan Bradley is also 2-over after back-to-back bogeys at No. 5 and No. 6.
Tianlang Guan, the 14-year-old from China, is 2-over through 12 holes. He's bogeyed four holes thus far, but does have two birdies as well. Here is a quick look at the current leaders as well as a few notable names.
