Wells Fargo Championship 2013: Tee times, TV schedule for Sunday

Streeter Lecka

Full tee times and a TV schedule for Sunday's fourth round at the 2013 Wells Fargo Championship.

The final round of the Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow is set for Sunday. Phil Mickelson used a strong Friday to take the lead heading into the weekend, but lost a solid opportunity to strengthen his position in Round 3 on Saturday, and is now tied for first with Nick Watney.

Mickelson shot 1-over on the day for a 73, coming back from the 67 he shot in Round 2. Watney shot 1-under on the day to grab the first-place tie at 8-under, while George McNeill rounds out the top three as the sole player at 7-under.

Many of the top names have fallen on the leaderboard, as Rory McIlroy had another bad day at 1-over and is now tied for 10th place at 5-under for the tournament. Mickelson risked falling out of the top spot late with three bogeys and a double bogey to round out his day.

Due to the potential for bad weather, all tee times have moved up considerably, and the plan is for players to tee off in threesomes from No. 1 and No. 10, beginning at 6:45 a.m. ET. Television coverage begins at the same time, however, with the Golf Channel picking things up at 1 p.m. through 2:30 p.m. and CBS picking up the rest of the day from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. (Tape-delayed golf!)

It's the second straight week that the PGA Tour has pushed things up early on Sunday, as they race against the weather to avoid another Monday finish. Last week, the players went off split tees in threesomes in New Orleans, but the intervening storms resulted in a finish around the regular early evening conclusion time. The Tour was ripped by some players and media after keeping Sunday's regularly scheduled times at Bay Hill earlier this year, when storms rolled in as forecasted and forced another Monday finish. They seem to be a bit jumpy since then and are being extra aggressive to try and finish things on the weekends of what has been a miserable and wild weather year on Tour.
