The third round of the Travelers Championship is in the books, and after struggling late in his round, Bubba Watson is now one of three players tied for the 54-hole lead. Watson sits at the top of the leaderboard with Charley Hoffman and Graham DeLaet at 10-under.
Watson, who led by three strokes late in the round, had a difficult time closing out as he struggled on the back nine. After making the turn at 3-under on the round, Watson bogeyed three of his final six holes to drop back to even par for the day. Watson bogeyed No. 13, No. 15 and No. 17 on Saturday after playing those three holes at 5-under during the first two rounds.
While Watson struggled, DeLaet and Hoffman took advantage with strong rounds. DeLaet shot a 5-under 65 on Saturday while Hoffman jumped seven spots up the leaderboard with a 4-under 66. With Watson falling back from 13-under, 10 players are now within three strokes of the lead. Justin Rose and Hunter Mahan are among the notable names in contention as both will begin the final round three strokes behind at 7-under.
