Harris English recovered from a rough start and took advantage of late meltdowns from other golfers to win the 2013 FedEx St. Jude Classic at 12-under par. This is his first victory on the PGA Tour.
Starting the day in second place, English didn't have a good start, getting four bogeys on the first nine holes. He later got birdies on holes 10 and 11 to get back into it, but it wasn't until the final four holes when the leaderboard really shook up.
Playing one hole behind Scott Stallings and Phil Mickelson, English moved into a tie for first after Stallings had a double bogey on hole 15, but Stallings recovered with a birdie on hole 16 to take the lead back. He narrowly missed a birdie on hole 17, while English tied it back up at 11-under with a hole 16 birdie.
On the 18th hole, Stallings' tee shot went into the deep rough on the right side, near the audience. He was unable to recover from poor approach shots and had to settle for a bogey, finishing at 10-under par. This gave English the lead with two more holes to play. English would later get a birdie on hole 17 to clinch the victory.
Shawn Stefani entered the fourth round in first place, but he had a disastrous day, shooting 6-over par to drop all the way down to a tie for seventh.
