Low scoring has just begun Friday at TPC Deere Run.

Patrick Reed is in the clubhouse with a two-stroke lead Friday at the John Deere Classic, firing an 8-under 63 in his second round that qualifies as the lowest round so far this weekend at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill.

Reed, who is 12-under for the tournament after shooting a 5-under 67 on Thursday, started on the back nine Friday and recorded birdies at the 11th and 13th. He offset a bogey at the 14th with a birdie at the 16th and an eagle at the par-5 17th. He shot 4-under after making the turn, sinking four birdies without a bogey.

Troy Matteson also made a big jump up the leaderboard Friday with a second-round 64. He's at 10-under for the tournament, tied for second with Kevin Streelman who finished his first two rounds with 5-under 66s at the par-71 course.

Zach Johnson and Camilo Villegas, who led after the first round at 7-under, have yet to take the course for their second rounds.
