2013 British Open: Tee times and pairings for Saturday's round

Rob Carr

The third round of the Open Championship will feature several notable pairings.

The top of the British Open leaderboard is not short on star power, as several former major champions are in the hunt heading into the third round. With so many notable names in contention, Saturday's groupings will include a few interesting pairings.

Tiger Woods heads into the weekend one stroke off the lead, and he will play with Lee Westwood on Saturday. The two will be paired in the second-to-last group with a scheduled tee time of 10:10 a.m. ET. Second-round leader Miguel Angel Jimenez will play in the final group, paired with Henrik Stenson. Jimenez opens the third round with a one-stroke lead, ahead of Woods, Westwood, Stenson and Dustin Johnson.

Johnson will be paired with Martin Laird, while first-round leader Zach Johnson will play with Rafael Cabrera-Bello. The 9:30 a.m. pairing will feature an interesting combination of youth and experience as 19-year-old Jordan Spieth plays with former Open champion Darren Clarke.

A pair of former Masters champions will tee off at 9:15 a.m. in Adam Scott and Charl Schwartzel. Bubba Watson will chase his second major title paired with Ian Poulter, while Phil Mickelson and Justin Leonard are scheduled to tee-off at 8:45 a.m.

Jason Day and Hunter Mahan were both in contention on Sunday at the U.S. Open. Now they will be paired together in the third round as they attempt to remain in contention heading into Sunday at The British Open.
