With Lee Westwood, Tiger Woods, Hunter Mahan, Adam Scott and Phil Mickelson among the players in contention, the final round of the British Open shouldn't lack intrigue. ESPN will broadcast that final round intrigue live from Muirfield, with coverage scheduled to begin at 6 a.m. ET.
The television broadcast will run until 1:30 p.m., allowing viewers to watch the entire final round of players in contention. The contenders don't begin teeing off until after 7 a.m., though, while the final groups will tee-off around 9 a.m. Tiger Woods, who begins the round two strokes off the lead, will play with Adam Scott on Sunday. The two will tee off at 9 a.m., 10 minutes ahead of third-round leader Lee Westwood.
In addition to the television coverage, there will also be extensive coverage online at ESPN3. It will begin at 5 a.m. with @TheOpen Live, a preview show leading into the live broadcast. There will also be Spanish and international streams on ESPN3. The online coverage includes one stream dedicated to the No. 1 and No. 18 holes, and another following players on holes No. 7, No. 8 and No. 9 as they prepare to make the turn.
Radio coverage will be available on ESPN Radio beginning at 8 a.m. and it will run until someone comes away with the Claret Jug. Here is a complete look at Sunday's coverage:
