Greenbrier Classic 2013 results: Jonas Blixt holds on to win in West Virginia

Chris Trotman

Blixt won his second career PGA Tour event.

Jonas Blixt held off four challengers to win the Greenbrier Classic at The Old White TPC in White Sulphur Springs, W.V. The Swede shot 13-under for the tournament to beat a quartet of players who all finished two shots back for his second career PGA Tour win.

Blixt won the tournament thanks to his exceptionally consistent play, shooting 66 in the first round and 67 in each of the next three. He was 2-under on the front nine Sunday and while he made bogey at No. 11 and No. 13 to cancel out birdies at No. 10 and No. 12, he was still able to hold on for the win.

Steven Bowditch and Mattt Jones each shot 2-under on Sunday to get close to Blixt, but it wasn't enough. They both finished 11-under for the tournament, as did Johnson Wagner and Jimmy Walker, who were over par on Sunday to lose out on their chance at the tournament win:

Position Player Score
1 Jonas Blixt -13
T2 Steven Bowditch -11
T2 Matt Jones -11
T2 Johnson Wagner -11
T2 Jimmy Walker -11
T6 Ted Potter Jr. -9
T6 Brian Stuard -9
T6 Pat Perez -9
