It's been a rough week for Tiger Woods at the PGA Championship and he continues to struggle on Sunday. If he wasn't having enough issues on his own, Woods has been unable to catch a break, just like at No. 9 when his approach shot hit the flagstick and caromed away.
Woods hit one of his best approach shots of the week, with his ball landing just inches from the pin. It caught the edge of the flagstick and shot 25 feet away from the hole.
Woods went on to three putt for a double bogey to drop him to 7-over. This wasn't the first time Woods has hit a flagstick in a major this year. He infamously hit the stick at No. 15 during The Masters with the ball spinning back into the water hazard. Woods made bogey and was eventually penalized two stokes when officials determined he took an illegal drop.
He wasn't the only player to get spurned by a flagstick on Sunday. Chris Kirk came close to holing his approach shot on No. 5, but his ball hit the stick and rolled off the green into the water hazard, similar to Woods at Augusta.
Kirk stuck his second attempt within a few inches on the hole and went on to make a triple bogey. It's just been one of those days.
