The second round of the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational begins Friday. Webb Simpson holds the lead after shooting a 6-under 64 in Thursday's opening round. Tiger Woods sits just two strokes behind at 4-under and will likely be in the hunt all weekend. Despite struggling in the majors, Woods is still having a dominant year, winning four PGA Tour events and leading in the FedEx Cup standings.
On the other side of the coin, Phil Mickelson had a day to forget. The British Open champion shot a 2-over 72, including five bogeys, and currently sits in a tie for 41st. Matt Kuchar also shot a 72. Both golfers have work to do on Friday if they are going to be in contention during the weekend.
Like the other WGC events, the Bridgestone Invitational includes a stellar field and attracts plenty of interest. Friday's broadcast will include four hours of live coverage, which will also be available online. The Golf Channel's coverage begins at 2 p.m. ET, with online streaming available on their Live Extra app. Select holes will be available on PGATour.com.
